Watercolor on mixed media paper. Spring begins in earnest when colonies of Bloodroot, one of he first woodland flowers to appear in early spring, carpet the earth. A sign of last year, twigs, bramble, and debri cover much of the forest floor as well, but not for long--that is the way of spring, life taking hold at just the right time, in just the right spot.
