Silent Morning

This is an early morning view of the outflow brook from Perkins Pond, a couple hundred yards from the shore. It had rained the night before and the woods were damp and totally silent except for the occasional bird chirp. Heard something large crashing through the bushes once I finally started back to my canoe. Bear or moose, probably.
